Cascade Lake

We spent 5 days in a cabin up at Cascade Lake in Idaho So nice, relaxing, and quiet.
Here is a picture from the top of the stairs.

We got 2 rubber rafts.   The kids had fun.  Dave and Grandpa W. made oars for the rafts and they worked really well.

Kids Playing in the water,  Yes there is a haze in the air.  Most of the middle of Idaho was on fire.

We got a canoe and a kayak  Everyone got the chance to row across the lake in one of them. 

The stairs down to the water.  We lost a foot to a foot and a half of water while we were there.  Hopefully it helped farmers finish out the growing season. 

Dave and Jordan caught 4 fish.

We had a blast and came back relaxed and ready for school to start. 

Courtney turns 10

So Our Baby Girl turned 10 at the beginning of the month. Here she is opening her presents from the family. She was very confused when her brothers gave her earrings. But was equally excited when she found out mom was taking her to get her ears pierced later in the day.

The cake was Pink lemonaid with Pink lemonaid frosting, with Pink lemonaid for a drink.

Just found

I just found this picture, it is about 2 years old.  I have no idea who took it, but it is James, and I just love it.  The mask is on top of his head and James had tipped his head down to drink.

My James

After working in the yard all day, I showered and dressed in a baggy shirt and baggy basket ball shorts.  We were headed out to the grocery store.  I told the kids I wasn't quite ready.
James "ya you need to get dressed". 
Me  "No I just needed to get shoes on". 
James replied, "no you need to change", 
Me "I'm fine in what I'm wearing are you emberrassed".
James  "you need to change your pants". 

So I changed my pants.

Dave bought an old Sega system, and hooked it up to the old tube tv we have, Because it wont work on the flat screen.  Anyway James started to play a racing game,  and started complaining that the motor cycle wasn't turning,  he was turning the controler like a wii controler.  Dave had to explain about buttons.

And with that curly hair we don't realize how long it is getting.

And this is shorter than it was a couple of months ago before we cut it. 

James the lion

James' kindergarden class put on an opera, called The Naughty Naughty Rabbits. They wrote the opera and painted the background.

James was a lion, his best friends were a mouse and a snake.

Here is the whole class at the start of the opera.

The lions are center stage.  I loved that they put the words up so we could follow along.

They did such a good job. James had been throwing up the night before but he was well enough, the next day to do his part.

David's Birthday

David turned 16, a couple of months ago

We found this cake online.  A barrel of M&M's

Yes he really is 16 but he wanted to use the number candles so we put the 12 on and added 4 more candles.

It was a very good cake.

James Birthday

James turned 6 several months ago, He wanted a Halo cake

So we got him a Halo cake

With little Halo guys on it and a huge ship next to it.  He was so excited.

Jordan turns 12

Jordan turned 12 in Janurary

He wanted Kirby on his cake  Not the best but with 3 of us working on it it turned out pretty well

Snow, Snow, Snow, at least a little bit of it.

4-Wheelers were the big present this year for Christmas.
And last night it finally snowed. So we took the tubes, the kids, some rope, and the 4 wheeler out to play in the field.
